The Greenapple festival may have been a wash-out, but those brave enough to get out under the storm clouds went home with some all-organic Honest Tea. Were you there ?

Honest Tea on Campus

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

UCLA students know how to live healthy. While many sip energy drinks into the wee hours to finish papers or prepare for exams, we were excited to see the level of health consciousness UCLA students exuded at the Bruin Health Fair. Pictured are the UCLA Tea School (a short course on organic teas and juices), Class of 12:30.

At Cal State Fullerton, students took it one step further (literally) by running a 5k race on Saturday. And that makes you incredibly thirsty…

And with Creative Recreation, we threw a party at Nordstrom’s in South Coast Plaza with DJ Dax. Here he is sipping tea in the shoe section.

Fitness for a Cure Boston Event!

Monday, April 7th, 2008

St. Jude’s Hospital, the largest childhood cancer research center in the world, invited guests and supporters last Saturday to an event filled with hope, smiles, laughter, and above all, DANCING!

The Fitness for a Cure Gala’s afternoon show was a chance for families to share their stories, old friends to reconnect, and of course, to watch the Fitness for a Cure Performance Team bring down the house! And Honest Tea was there the whole time providing the little ones with Honest Kids pouches, the parents with refreshing Honest Tea, and keeping the dancers hydrated with ice cold Honest Ade.

A few amazing girls had been growing out their hair for an entire year (yes, 12 months!) and had it chopped off on stage, all to benefit Locks for Love. Afterwards they were treated to a complimentary haircut….and complimentary Kids pouch too!

We all know how close and protective women and girls are with their hair so for these girls to make that kind of commitment and sacrifice is truly amazing. A big CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU goes out to all those who participated and donated to Locks of Love from the team over at Honest Tea.

Spring Graces

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

We were happy to see Jeff Bredemeir’s awesome art show at violetgrace, this week where we sipped Honest-Ade cocktails with some great people. Including Josh Groban hanging out with a monk… sounds like a weird dream.

We also caught some valley kids on their spring break tour of Malibu so we hooked them up with cold drinks to keep them cool under the sun.

Also, the 11th Hour Movie Screening at SDSU was a hit. Honest Tea made sure the students in attendance were only sipping the finest cold organic teas while they learned about the warming planet.

This week kicked off LA Fashion week with some great designers at Smashbox Studios in Culver City. We first hit restaurant Akasha before heading backstage to make sure all the models for the Suh-than show were hydrated and anti-oxidized.

socalimage008.jpg

The show stealing Green Initiative on 3/12 showcased some of the hottest eco-friendly up-and-coming designers. Attendees watched breakdancing moves from M the Movement clad B-boys before heading over to Fred Segal Café for “Honestly Veev” Acai, Lime and mint cocktails. Great job with the show Mikey…

We then headed to Anaheim for the Natural Products Expo where we made sure everyone had a cold Honest Beverage for their walk to and from the venue. And if you got into a taxi in Anaheim this last weekend your driver might have been drinking an Honest Ade as we took over the Anaheim cab scene.

On Saturday, we helped Evil Monito and Pink Cloud launch Cassette, a new popup store on Fairfax with a party that had everyone feeling Honest…

More from Boston

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

With (hopefully) the last snow storm of the winter behind them the residents of Boston were out in force this past Sunday enjoying the sunny weather while checking out the shops on Newbury St. Lucky for them Honest Tea was there to keep them hydrated…

Notice how the lady below waits until I turn away and then swoops in to snatch a second…very crafty.

224_2.jpg

You know how they say when you see the Mona Lisa in person it’s like her eyes follow you around the room? Same thing with this dude in the sunglasses! No matter how far I moved down the sidewalk I felt like he was eye-ballin’ me….creepy.

224_3.jpg

Open your eyes! Or at least wear sunglasses if your gonna be hungover, like your friend here. Lucky for these ladies our Pom Blue is packed with antioxidents to help get their systems back on track after undoubtably one long weekend.

I want to introduce you to my newest friend Stanley, Flat Stanley to be exact. He’s up in Boston for a few days to see the sights and take in the culture before returning to his hometown classroom. The program was started by a group of teachers who wanted to provide students with a meaningful reason to write…you can learn more about the Flat Stanley program at www.flatstanley.com.

Keeping it Spicy

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

With those Spice Girls in town you know we had to jump out and hit the streets real quick. Who cares about the cold when you got a Honest Tea and a ticket to see Baby, Posh, Sporty, Scary, and Jeri ? – feels like 8th grade again, but who says that’s a bad thing.

Georgetown Tea Time

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

DC was welcomed into spring by some warm weather and refreshing Honest Tea. The Georgetown community happily gave up the corner of M and Wisconsin as we opened up the Honest Tea faucet! From Pomegranate White to the Cranberry Lemonade, the winter is over and the Honest Beverages are flowing. Stay on the lookout for that Honest Tea
Hybrid, your hood is next.

Dancing with Myself … and 1000 others for charity

Monday, February 18th, 2008

This weekend, UCLA students danced and danced for charity, 26 straight hours of dancing in all!

Honest Tea was onsite to make sure these dancers were hydrated, and had some healthy beverages around to keep them going.

Project Kindle, Camp Heartland and The Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation were the main causes supported by this awesome event.

Larry Birkhead was there to show his dancin’ support for the kids.
