This October, Honest Tea has partnered with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to help raise breast cancer awareness. Bottles will be outfitted with limited-edition Komen for the Cure® pink labels and caps and Honest Tea is donating $100,000 this year to the charity to help in the fight against breast cancer. Like all of Honest Tea's green teas, Honey Green Tea and Passion Fruit Green Tea are brewed with organic tea leaves and are loaded with the free radical-fighting antioxidant EGCG, epigallocatechin gallate. Honest Tea is also sponsoring several local Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® events as a way raise funds locally and provide refreshment for the thirsty participants crossing the finish line. Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
