Sr. Regional Sales Manager (So Cal)

Honest Tea, a leader in the bottled organic tea market, is looking for a candidate who can take its brand to the next level. This is a rapidly growing company with tremendous opportunities for a hard-working, resourceful hands-on manager. A Sr. Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for building the Honest Tea Brand through management of distributors and subordinates within assigned territory. The ideal candidate is someone who is entrepreneurial, highly-organized, and understands the Honest Tea demographic. Must have prior beverage or consumer goods experience.

The Sr. Regional Sales Manager must assign, train, motivate, manage, and evaluate the business activities of Honest Tea subordinates and distributors within assigned territory to deliver maximum sales, executional results, and customer satisfaction for the company’s product lines. She/he will develop sales objectives, prepare and execute product programs, and analyze and evaluate the status of the company’s products as well as the competitive environment on an ongoing basis.

Sr. Regional Sales Managers who perform exceptionally will have room for advancement. The Sr. Regional Sales Manager will report to the Division Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the progress of assigned distributor organizations’ (and field personnel, when appropriate) performance in the selling and merchandising of the company’s product lines either directly or through the area sales managers within the region
  • Monitor ongoing business trends to effectively forecast sales volumes for each distributor market on a monthly basis
  • Develop and present creative and results oriented presentations to distributors and/or key accounts
  • Maintain customer contact in conjunction with distributors to expedite resolution of customer problems/complaints and to improve overall customer relations, sales volume, and profile in the marketplace
  • Review and evaluate distributor performance in achieving sales and merchandising objectives through specific objectives for distributors that are clearly articulated, mutually agreed upon and effectively measured
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of sales programs, schematics, and all other such brand development projects that relate to field execution
  • Conduct market audits in all classes of trade to assess the company’s products’ position in the marketplace; monitor competitive activity and developments
  • Maintain a high level of interaction with key trade customers to ensure customer satisfaction, educate on product line and category developments and trends, as well as maintain a full understanding of key customers’ organizations
  • Maintain thorough and current understanding of existing and projected product lines, category trends of key trade customers, of competitors and the marketplace in general

Requirements:
  • 8 to 10 years experience in sales and management, preferably in the beverage and/or consumer products industry
  • Ability to organize and lead management teams successfully
  • Ability to travel as well as work long, flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required
  • Excellent driving record and insurance, required
  • Personal vehicle to use, if necessary
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must excel in multi-tasking within a fast-paced organization

Marketing Manager (Southeast, Chicago, Arizona)

Overview:
Provide direction and leadership within retail and consumer marketing programs for a specified geographic region and/or distributor.

Primary Responsibilities (The responsibilities include but are not limited to):
  • Lead in the development and implementation of brand strategic vision, goals and brand plans
  • Keep abreast of consumer and industry trends to develop powerful consumer insights, brand messaging, and programming
  • Work with sales to support development and execution of local (geographic/distributor) retail programs, including partnership marketing
  • Responsible for overseeing all retail and consumer events, demos and guerilla marketing within specified region and/or distributor

Special Skills:

Marketing Associate (Northern Florida, Southern Florida)

Honest Tea, a leader in the bottled organic tea market, is looking for a candidate who can take its brand to the next level. This is a rapidly growing company with tremendous opportunities for a hard-working, resourceful hands-on Marketing Associate. The ideal candidate is someone who is entrepreneurial, highly-organized, and understands the Honest Tea demographic.

Overview:
Responsible for building brand loyalty in assigned territory by executing community marketing programs that connect the brands to the consumer. This is done through sampling of beverages with full product knowledge and understanding of product benefits.

Primary Responsibilities (The responsibilities include but are not limited to):
  • Act as ambassador for the brand by sampling product at key events, demos and guerilla samplings
  • Creates excitement and positive experience for consumers
  • Helps drives sales to retail partners through sampling
  • Responsible for event logistics including pre-event preparation, set-up and break down, greeting event manager, gathering a crowd and greeting and educating the audience
  • Delivers timely event recap
  • Maintains accuracy of product inventory
  • Oversees hourly samplers as needed

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing (or related field)
  • 1 – 2 year relevant experience in events, promotions, media, consumer marketing or community marketing
  • Must be able to work a Wednesday – Sunday schedule
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts

Road Warrior Summer 2010 Internship (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Southern New Hampshire, Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas) Los Angeles)

Honest Tea, a leader in the organic bottled tea market, is looking for Sales & Marketing undergraduate summer interns who can take the brand to the next level. This is a rapidly growing company with GREAT opportunities for hard-working, resourceful, hands-on interns who can act as ambassadors for the Honest Tea brand across the country.

We are looking for interns who will be “road warriors” promoting Honest Beverages in retail stores and at consumer events as well as being apart of our in-store merchandising sales team. Interns will seek out guerrilla marketing/sampling opportunities wherever thirsty people can be found.

Event types include (but are not limited to): Consumer (outdoor concerts, film festivals, marathons, road races, and parades), Retail (college block parties, grand openings), In-Store Demos (sampling at Whole Foods, Fairway, etc.) and Guerilla (sampling on the street in key areas of major cities).

Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Driving to all location sites within specific region
  • Setting up and breaking down all equipment required for each event
  • Promoting the Honest Tea brand at each event

In-Store Merchandising includes (but is not limited to): hanging POS materials in retail accounts, resetting cooler shelves, placing glide racks and refurbing coolers.

Sales Responsibilities:
  • Within the assigned market, execute merchandising, sampling, store resets, placing glides and POS
  • Open new accounts
  • Participate in route rides, crew drives, and kick-offs within assigned territory and in other territories (travel as required)
  • Placement of coolers, hard point of sale and soft point of sale in accounts
  • Perform merchandising functions

Overall Requirements:
  • Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends and overnight travel.
  • Must be able to work a 5 day work week including weekends for the entire summer (10-12 weeks).
  • Must be an Undergraduate student.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds at a time.
  • Good driving record and daily access to a vehicle.
  • ENTHUSIASM AND ENERGY AND WILLINGNESS TO WORK HARD.
